Charles Guard speaks of some official duties the Queen carried out on the Island

Thousands of people lined the streets of central London and Windsor to see the Queen's coffin as she makes her way to King George VI memorial chapel - the final resting place of her, and her late husband.

In 1979, the Queen and Prince Philip attended Tynwald Day where vast numbers of residents greeted them.

Her Majesty's final visit to the Isle of Man was in 2003 - again to be present for the open-air sitting of Tynwald.
