Local views important for Sulby Claddagh future, says Barber

Minster says consultation on site will open this month

Any future decisions on Sulby Claddagh will take into account local views on the site as well as its importance to tourists.

That's according to the environment minister who was asked about the importance of the site to Manx residents in the House of Keys today (12 March).

Overnight camping at the facility was removed last month for the whole of 2023 with government citing increased running costs as the reason, a move which sparked backlash from local residents and businesses.
