Facility's demise regrettable - CEO
The Chief Executive of the Children's Centre says the decision to close nursery provision for children under the age of two was taken purely for financial reasons.
It was announced today (28 April) that the loss-making service will cease on 29 July.
Fiona Dawson says while the decision has been taken very reluctantly, they've been concerned at the situation for several months.
The nursery has been among the Centre's commercial activities, which help fund its charitable projects.
Ms Dawson insists its closure doesn't represent a crisis point for the charity, following the loss of several government contracts over the last twelve months:
