DoI carrying out work on Foxdale route
Motorists are warned they face major disruptions as the main road in Foxdale faces a lengthy closure.
An £800,000 refurbishment project begins today seeing the route out of action for nine months.
Work includes fitting new highway drain and placing electrical cables underground as the 70-year-old surface gets reconstructed.
Jim Davidson is the Project Co-ordinator for the Department of Infrastructure.
He says the work being carried out is no quick fix.
