Advice after fire in Ramsey
Keep filters on tumble dryers clean - and don't leave them unattended.
The advice from fire services after a house fire in Ramsey last night (Tues)
Two appliances were called to a property in Ellan Park just after 10.30pm following calls to say a tumble dryer in a garage was well alight.
Officers wearing breathing apparatus and with a thermal imaging camera used dry powder and a hose reel to extinguish the blaze, then isolated gas and electricity services to the garage.
Fortunately, there was no damage to the house itself.
