Couldn't remember incident
A Douglas man has admitted being drunk and disorderly, following a domestic dispute a fortnight ago.
Forty-seven-year-old Michael Vincent Devine, of Allan Street, pleaded guilty to the charge when he appeared before Deputy High Bailiff Jayne Hughes.
The court heard Devine's partner had called the police at around 6.30pm on March 8.
They arrived to find her holding a child, after which Devine came out of the house, bumping into his car.
His advocate said Devine had gone to the pub for 'one drink' that morning, following a night shift, but ended up getting so drunk he didn't remember going home, or the incident.
The court heard this was completely out of character for him, and that he and his partner had been reconciled.
Devine was fined £250, ordered to pay £125 in costs and has been bound over to keep the peace for 12 months.
