Alleged incident captured on CCTV
A Ballasalla man has appeared in court accused of sexually assaulting a woman on a bus.
The 38-year-old appeared at Douglas Courthouse where the prosecutor sought an adjournment to allow a more detailed victim statement to be taken.
He cannot be named due to recent changes to the law which guarantees anonymity for alleged sex offenders.
It's alleged he approached the woman whilst she was travelling to work at around 6:40pm on Tuesday (14 May.)
The incident, in which he attempted to offer her drugs and kiss her, before groping her, was captured on the vehicle's CCTV.
Denying bail and approving the adjournment, magistrates told the accused: "This is a very serious offence and must've been terrifying for her."
He will next appear on 23 May.
