Man faces attempted theft charges

Police ask Baldrine residents to check cars

A 44 year old man is due in court today charged with multiple offences of attempted theft, taking a vehicle without permission and going equipped to steal.

He also faces numerous other motoring offences.

The man was arrested in Baldrine after reports that he had been seen trying the doors of parked vehicles.

Police say the targeted vehicles were unlocked and they're now asking local residents to check their vehicles to see if anything is missing.

Anyone who believes they may had had possessions stolen or who may have further information can contact Ramsey police station on 812234.

They's also reminding motorists that the simple action of locking your car doors can deter opportunist thieves.
