Investigation into incident now underway
A local man was taken to Noble's hospital yesterday (Thurs) after falling from a scaffolding tower.
Fire crews were called out to Bluebell Close in Douglas at around 10.45am where they found the workman in a precarious position under the scaffolding.
Fire officers considered the scene dangerous as the scaffolding tower was resting on a wooden fence between two properties.
The crews stabilised the scaffolding then moved it away from the workman so that he could be treated by paramedics and then taken to Nobles Hospital by ambulance. There's no word currently on his condition.
An investigation into the incident is being carried out by members of the Health and Safety at Work Inspectorate.
