Man jailed for Hop Tu Naa stabbing

Attacked teenager at party

A man who took hallucinogenic drugs before stabbing a teenager seven times at a Hop Tu Naa party has been jailed for more than four years.

 

19 year old Jack Bridson from Anagh Coar admitted attacking the 17 year old at his parents’ house in Farmhill on November 1 last year.

 

Bridson took three tablets of a former legal high which was outlawed in 2014 before carrying out the attack in the garden of the property.

 

Deemster Montgomerie sent Bridson to prison for two years and three months for unlawful wounding, and a further one year and 11 months for possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply.
