A Douglas man’s been prosecuted for littering after leaving a cigarette vending machine on Steam Railway land.
Douglas Borough Council took out the prosecution against Frank John Thompson of Lheannag Park.
The corporation says he failed to answer a summons to appear in court twice but in his absence, witnesses told Deputy High Bailiff Jayne Hughes that Thompson was responsible for dumping the vending cabinet.
Thompson was fined £200 and ordered to pay £135.60 compensation and costs of £87.50
