Witnesses still being urged to come forward
Police have released more details on a severe attack which left a man in hospital over the weekend.
The male victim received 'significant facial and head injuries' as a result of the assault, which happened at around 11.40pm on Saturday on Empress Drive, Douglas.
He's still in Noble's Hospital in a 'comfortable condition'.
Officers have confirmed a 32 year old male from Douglas was arrested at the scene - he appeared before the Deputy High Bailiff yesterday (Tue) charged with assault.
A woman was also arrested - she's since been released.
The motive for the attack is still unknown.
Police are looking to speak to two male and a female witness - they're urged to contact headquarters on 631212, as their information may prove 'vital' in the ongoing investigation.
