New poetry ambassador takes throne
A writer from Maughold says she’s thrilled to have been selected as the 2017 Manx Bard.
Sara Goodwins was chosen at a ceremony in Gansey and takes over the role from John Dog Callister.
She becomes the fourth bard after seeing off the challenge of other poets.
Sara admitted it’s quite an honour.
