Health provider says an investigation into the matter is underway
Manx Care has apologised to an MHK after accusing her of making sweeping and incorrect statements in Tynwald.
The healthcare provider made the comments about Onchan member Julie Edge after she questioned whether a code red incident at Noble's Hospital last weekend related to staffing levels.
Having clarified that the issue was a security incident and didn't relate to staffing, Manx Care went on to accuse the MHK of causing unnecessary anxiety to the public.
Manx Care says it apologises for any direct comments made about Ms Edge in its statement, and confirmed the matter is under investigation.
It comes after Health Minister Claire Christian told Manx Radio she's referred the matter to the chief executive officer of the Isle of Man Government.
