Manx Care says it’s working to secure GP services for patients in Ballasalla because the medical centre will hand back its contract at the end of July.
It says it's working to ‘consider all of the options available’ so that patients can continue to be served by the practice.
Manx Care says it appreciates that the decision will cause ‘a lot of uncertainty’ however people will continue to be able to access GP services as usual at the moment.
The health body is urging people not to try and register with another practice as this will cause issues for other medical centres in the south.
Manx Radio has attempted to contact Manx Care to clarify whether the GP surgery will be closing but has been unsuccessful. We have also contacted Ballasalla Medical Centre directly.
