Draft agreements currently being considered
Manx Care is in talks with two major healthcare insurance providers in a bid to expand its future private offering to patients on the Island.
Currently, a limited number of private day case surgery, minor procedures, outpatient and tests are available at Noble's and Ramsey hospitals.
The trial implementation of an online portal is needed to be able to offer more day case surgery and more complex interventions.
As a result, two insurers have put forward draft provider agreements - these are currently being reviewed by Manx Care and the Attorney General's Chambers.
