Manx couple on campsite of murdered British family

A couple from the Isle of Man has been describing to Manx Radio how they became aware that they were staying on a camp site just 50 yards from the caravan being used by the British family at the centre of a multiple murder investigation.

A four year old girl was been found alive in a car in the French Alps, after apparently hiding underneath the bodies of three of her family for eight hours. Another older girl was found gunned down outside the car and is in a critical condition in hospital.

A further body, believed to be a passing cyclist, was found nearby.

Police think those in the car were British tourists, gunned down during a camping holiday. Some French sources are now naming the father as Saad Al-Hilli from Claygate in Surrey.

Malcolm Lambert who lives in Port Erin is with his wife, on the campsite where the family were staying.
