DOI says staffing levels 'unknown' as bus drivers stage industrial action
The Department of Infrastructure is preparing the Manx Electric Railway to be used for school and commuter travel on Monday (23 February).
It's as bus drivers are set to go on strike for 10 days from tomorrow.
The department says it's 'unknown' what staffing levels will be like during the walkout, but there are hopes for an hourly service on 'main corridors'.
A timetable is expected shortly.
The Banks Circus Depot will be closed from tomorrow for the duration of the industrial action.
Anyone relying on the buses over the coming period is asked to follow social media threads and access findmybus.im to view the service provision daily.
