The Isle of Man's consumer inflation rate increased by 0.1 percent last month.
The rate at which prices are rising stands at 2.1 percent with education, restaurants and hotels and alcoholic beverages among the largest risers in the 12 months to August.
Rent saw the largest jump in the same period by 17.3 percent.
Meanwhile, tea, preschool fees, driving lessons, private education and 'repairs and maintenance charges' also saw increases.
Gas decreased the most by 16.8 percent, followed by multivitamin tablets, electrical appliances and basic foods like cheese and bread.
Over a one month period, food, drink, alcohol and tobacco rose slightly by 0.3 percent.
However, transport saw deflation by 8.8 percent, but remains a positive contributor to the overall 12 month change.
