Manx pharmacies ask public not to panic buy medicine

IOM Pharmacy Contractors Association releases statement

Manx pharmacies are asking locals to help them to help you.

A statement has been released the IOM Pharmacy Contractors Association in a bid to help pharmacies cope under the current circumstances and to try and keep staff as safe as possible.

They are asking patients and members of the public to:

Avoid pharmacies if you are showing symptoms of COVID-19.

Be patient and polite.

Order medicines as normal. There is no need to stockpile medicines.

Only visit Pharmacies if you really need to, and to, where possible, contact the pharmacy by phone with health queries, to order repeat prescriptions, or check if certain items are in stock.

A delivery service is being offered to vulnerable patients who have nobody who can collect for them.
