There is more to the celebration this year, says Legion
The Royal British Legion Isle of Man is encouraging residents to take part in a two-minute silence tomorrow at 11am [Friday] to mark the 75th anniversary of VE Day.
The occasion commemorates the surrender of Nazi Germany to the Allied Forces in 1945, ending the Second World War and hostilities in Europe.
At 9pm a UK wide sing-a-long of Vera Lynn’s ‘We'll Meet Again’ will take place during a BBC programme, which has partnered with the British Legion to celebrate VE Day.
The vice-chairman of Royal British Legion Isle of Man Major Charles Wilson says this year we will be remembering in a different way:
Fears planned changes to government's first time buyers schemes will 'fall by the wayside'
Consultation opens on proposed changes to punishments for some driving offences
Vet practice expanding farm and equine services
