Manx Radio’s chairman says the station isn’t a special case – and can’t expect ringfenced funding from the government.
David North made his comments after yesterday’s(Tues) extensive Tynwald debate into a select committee report about public service broadcasting.
In the court, members praised the station’s output - although a handful of politicians aired their personal views and criticised senior management - as they approved nine of twelve recommendations with some amendments.
Mr North says the document and debate now means Manx Radio has a secure footing on which to plan the future:
