'Out of the danger zone' in Naples
A Manx resident who is in Florida has described the situation there as ‘quite tense’ as Hurricane Milton approaches.
Marco Leonetti is currently on holiday in Naples which is currently a ‘non-mandatory’ evacuation zone.
Despite being downgraded to a category four people are being told the hurricane could be the worst to hit the state in a century with a warning that it could be ‘deadly and catastrophic’.
US President Joe Biden says leaving mandatory evacuation zones was a ‘matter of life and death’ with millions of people now fleeing their homes.
Marco told Manx Radio whilst he is ‘out of the danger zone’ he will be looking to help those who are badly affected in the coming days:
Tynwald approves changes to sitting schedule, including half-term breaks and revised start dates
Plea to Manx parents to check meningitis vaccination status
Bus dispute ‘a considerable way apart’ as talks continue, says infrastructure minister
Noble's bed capacity exceeding industry-recognised 'safe levels'
