Eric Quirk served in Korea, 1952
A Manx resident and military veteran has received a medal recognising his service in Korea, 1952.
Eric Quirk was a wireless operator in the 14th Regiment Royal Artillery and supported the 1st Battalion of the Black Watch on the second Battle of the Hook.
The Korean government issued medals to troops from New Zealand, Canada, America, Australia and Great Britain.
Mr Quirk explained to Manx Radio's Christian Jones, why it's taken more than 70-years to receive the medal:
