Manx residents asked to complete Census from tonight

Government says data from survey is vital for future planning

Everyone on the Isle of Man is being asked to take part in the 2026 Census tonight.

Households are asked to count everyone in the property on 26 April to help government understand the size, age range and other characteristics of the Manx population.

Letters have been sent to homes with details of how to complete the survey online this week, while support for those unable to take part online will be available from tomorrow.

The 2021 Census found the Island had a population of 84,069.

The Census Office can be contacted on 685700 between 8am-4pm Monday to Friday or email census@gov.im, while you can also visit the Census Office at Customs House, Railway Station, Bank Hill, Douglas to drop off forms or ask for support.
