Manx seafood shipment rerouted amid EU border disruption

Live product sent to France via Scotland

Manx seafood producers have had to reroute a shipment of live lobster and scallops destined for France.

It's due to post-Brexit disruption at the EU border, with extra bureaucracy and IT issues causing long delays in transporting goods to the bloc.

Port St Mary-based firm Island Seafare had to send product via Scotland rather than the usual logistical hub in Grimsby after some hauliers suspended exports.

Managing director Nick Pledger is confident these 'teething problems' will improve in time:
