Manx summit for British Irish Council

The Isle of Man is to host a meeting of the British Irish Council this week.

Senior politicians from the UK and Irish governments will fly-in for the day long summit, which will be chaired by Chief Minister Allan Bell.

Also attending will be representatives from the devolved administrations of Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Jersey and Guernsey.

This will be the 23rd BIC summit, a gathering which rotates between all eight member administrations.

Details of the date and venue are not being released yet, for security reasons.

The Council's meeting in the Isle of Man will focus on economic growth and digital inclusion within member countries.
