Rotary clubs join forces for Manx fund-raiser
A talent show with a difference next weekend is set to boost a project to rebuild schools in part of Nepal, after last year's earthquake.
Saturday's event at the Gaiety Theatre has been organsied by the Rotary clubs of Ramsey and Rushen and Western Mann.
Whole villages, roads, terraced farms and many schools were demolished in the 2015 quake, in the northern region where many live in extreme poverty.
Ramsey member Terry Groves visited Nepal shortly before the disaster, and is leading efforts to raise funds for Manx children's hospice; Rebecca House Isle of Man and the Pahar Trust, a Manx charity working in the country.
