Manxman remembered through works

Lebiedzinski archives released online

The works of a modern Manx troubadour have been digitally re-released, in time for what would have been his 66th birthday.

Culture Vannin has made a collection of original recordings by Paul Lebiedzinski available online, with an accompanying short film by Samuel Hurt.

The son of a Polish airman, Lebiedzinski spent much of his life in his hometown of Ramsey - at one time serving as a town commissioner - before his untimely death in 1995.

He'll be best remembered for his poignant poems, covering subjects from Island life to international political affairs.
