
A Manxman living in Thailand’s capital Bangkok says it’s business as usual, despite a military coup d’etat yesterday (22 May).
The Thai army seized power amid growing tensions between the country’s two main political parties in recent months.
Steve Noon lives and works in the finance sector near the city’s central business district and spoke to Manx Radio last night during a curfew imposed by the army.
He says despite Foreign Office warnings about the events in the country, he’s barely noticed any sort of unrest or disorder:
