ManxSPCA supports call for end to sale of English bulldogs

Follows research by Royal Veterinary College in UK

A call from the Royal Veterinary College in the UK to end the sale of English Bulldogs has been welcomed by a local animal charity.

Vets say the popularity of the breed has led to unscrupulous breeders creating designer dogs which are sold at inflated prices.

It’s led to serious health issues for the dogs including problems with breathing, skeletal defects and gum disease.
