Marine Biological Station plans given the go-ahead

Work could start in September

Planning permission has been granted for a multi-purpose development at the site of the former Marine Biological Station in Port Erin.

The decision went against the planning officers' recommendation to refuse the application after each of the five reasons for refusal were resolved.

Work on the complex - which will comprise 52 apartments, a restaurant, exhibition space, and an aparthotel - is hoped to get underway this autumn.
