Marine Drive changes will only happen with 'broad level of support'

Consultation attracts more than 600 responses

The infrastructure minister insists changes will only be made to the road on Marine Drive if they have a 'fairly broad level of support'

A consultation was held on whether to permanently close the route to motor vehicles in support of government's Active Travel Strategy.

Tim Baker claims it was a worthwhile exercise regardless of the outcome, with the document attracting more than 600 responses.

He hopes a scheme can be found that can deliver 'the benefits without the downsides':
