Car goes off a cliff
Police say three people were rescued from a car which went over a cliff at Marine Drive last night.
The incident happened at around 9pm, in extremely poor weather conditions.
Police, ambulance, the fire and rescue service, Douglas coastguard and the Douglas lifeboat were all called out.
According to the coastguard, the car had plunged down the cliff, coming to rest very near the foot of it.
All occupants managed to free themselves, but they still remained stuck on the cliff.
They were rescued in a joint operation between the emergency services there and brought back to the roadway.
Officers say all of those who were in the car received only minor injuries.
