Organisation also says more newcomers coming in to volunteer
Marshal numbers ahead of this year’s TT Races are looking ‘pretty healthy’.
The Isle of Man TT Marshals organisation has told Manx Radio that despite having some vacancies they are ‘on course’ to have the right amount of people to oversee qualifying and race sessions.
Any session during the racing fortnight requires at least 600 marshals; officials say they’re encouraged by the number of new faces joining to help out alongside experienced, returning individuals.
Laura Sawyer is one of the Isle of Man TT Marshals' Directors and says they're also encouraged by the fact they have more new faces getting involved alongside more experienced figures returning to help out:
For anyone interested in marshalling during this year's racing fortnight more information can be found by visiting the Isle of Man TT Marshals marquee.
It is based within the TT Paddock, on Glencrutchery Road in Douglas, closest to the Dukes Avenue entrance opposite Police Headquarters.
More information can also be found online via the Isle of Man TT Marshals website.
