Assurance it's not just another layer of management
The arrival of matrons in Noble's Hospital, in their distinctive red uniforms, will make a difference to patients and their families.
The assurance comes from Executive Director of Nursing and Allied Health Professionals Sheila Lloyd, who's behind their reintroduction.
Manx Care used International Nurses Day to officially announce the development.
Ms Lloyd says the matrons will be visible in many roles:
Shelia Lloyd will be a guest on Mannin Line on today (13 May).
