20-year-old admits domestic abuse offence
A Castletown man will be sentenced next month after threatening to release intimate images of a woman to a ‘chat group’.
Cameron Michael Cooper, of Hope Street, appeared at Douglas Courthouse where he pleaded guilty to domestic abuse.
The court was told the 20-year-old had subjected the woman to a ‘bombardment of messages’, and made the threat, between 1 October last year and 21 March this year.
The prosecutor told the court he’d also threatened to kill himself if he couldn’t see or speak to her adding: “I hope that was never a serious threat.”
A social enquiry report has been requested before Cooper is sentenced on 28 May; he’s been bailed until that date.
