Steven Crellin will formally accept the role at AGM in May
Douglas Council has confirmed the current mayor will be continuing for another year.
It says Councillor Steven Crellin 'signified' his intention to accept the position which will be formally presented at its AGM in May.
Mr Crellin was selected to serve as mayor last spring, when he took over from Councillor Natalie Byron-Teare, who was in the position for two years.
At the time, he said he was 'optimistic' about the year and one of his aims was to foster an 'inclusive and vibrant' community in the capital.
