Constituency goes to the polls next month
A new candidate has come forward to contest the Douglas East by-election.
Company director John Caley McBride is chairman of the Manx Grand Prix Riders' Association as well as a TT race controller, and will vie for the seat left vacant by the retirement of Brenda Cannell.
Mr McBride was born and raised in East Douglas and educated at Douglas High School and Isle of Man College.
He says top of his priority list is a fair taxation system and economic growth.
