The Manx Electricity Authority is sending help to Scotland this morning after yesterday’s storm knocked out power to 20,000 homes.
Six staff and 3 vehicles are heading for Scotland to help reconnect supplies.
It’s after Scottish power companies asked for assistance in the wake of severe gales which tore down the lines.
There’s a nationwide agreement between all power firms to respond to calls for help in such circumstances – the MEA says the assistance won’t cost Island consumers.
