Mec Vannin seeking the next generation

Need to draw young people back into the movement

Appealing to young people is one of 'the great connections' Mec Vannin says it has got to work on in the coming years.  

The Manx nationalist party, calling for a republican Isle of Man independent of the crown, has reported a spike in membership interest this week.

It follows the pulling of a debate in the UK parliament, which could've seen Westminster impose tougher tax transparency laws on the crown dependencies.

The move, backed by 40 MPs, led to the Manx government branding amendments to the beneficial ownership register as 'unconstitutional' and 'inoperable.'
