Meeting to consider Crosby development

Residents' views invited on housing scheme

A public meeting is being held in Crosby tonight (21 July) to discuss plans for a new housing development on a field in the village.

The agricultural land at Crosby cross-roads is zoned for development, and plans have been submitted for 29 new homes, including seven first-time buyers' properties.

Tonight's meeting in Crosby chapel hall on Church Road has been called by the developers JM Project Management Ltd, who will be on hand to answer questions from the public.

The project includes plans for retail space.

Marown Commissioners say they have no objection to the development in principle, but have raised queries over access arrangements. Members of the authority will attend tonight's event.

Some local residents have called for a crossing to be installed on the main road through Crosby, in view of extra traffic from the estate.

The meeting starts at 7pm and is open to all.
