Search on for dedication plaque
Police say the criminal damage happened between 8am and 7pm yesterday (12 June).
The wooden slats and arm rest have been broken, whilst the dedication plaque has also been prized off.
Officers haven't been able to find the plaque, which they say may have been discarded or thrown away.
Anyone who finds it is asked to contact police immediately and limit any contact with it as there may be forensic opportunities that could lead to a suspect.
If you have any information you're asked to call police headquarters on 631212.
