Committee investigating collapse of proposed deal
A Tynwald Committee will hear further evidence later over the failed government tender process for an independent TT promoter.
Members are trying to find out why a proposed deal between marketing firm Vision Nine and the Department of Economic Development collapsed last year - six months after it was approved by Tynwald.
At four o'clock, the Economic Policy Review Committee will hear from Barrie Baxter, a Guernsey-based MGP competitor with a 'strong business record' in motorsport events.
Mr Baxter has previously called the tender process 'deeply flawed', notably due to relationships which existed between Vision Nine employees, DED employees and political members.
He's labelled the communication between government and bidders 'farcical' - but maintains the TT could benefit from proper 'commercial professionalisation.
