Beecroft 'very angry' after Shimmins comments
South Douglas MHK Kate Beecroft says she's "very angry" at comments made by Middle MHK Bill Shimmins, regarding the Media Development Fund.
Mr Shimmins had been speaking on Manx Radio following comments he made in Tynwald, opposing the idea of setting up a select committee to look into the £26 million of losses made by the fund.
He believed it was in the past - and that such a move would not be cost effective.
But Mrs Beecroft says some of what he said on Manx Radio was inaccurate and misleading - and is calling for an apology from Mr Shimmins.
Members voted for the Public Accounts Committee to take a look into the issue, and decide whether further action is needed.
