Bill Shimmins wanted issue to be looked at further
An MHK claims a Council of Ministers block vote stopped Tynwald establishing a Select Committee to look into the pros and cons of taking in Syrian refugees on the Isle of Man.
11 members of the House of Keys voted against Daphne Caine's motion, with 10 in favour.
Middle MHK Bill Shimmins was one of those backing the plans.
He says it's a shame Tynwald won't be looking into the matter further:
