Castletown MHK Richard Ronan says there is a need for a national strategy to deal with sea defences.
Earlier this month, part of the sea wall near the Old Grammar School in the town collapsed in the storms.
The Commissioners own the land and are ultimately responsible for the upkeep and repairs.
However, just down the road at Shore Road, Gansey, Government will make good the damage there.
Richard Ronan has nothing but praise for the help from the Department of Infrastructure during and since the bad weather.
But he's calling for a more joined-up approach for the whole Island:-
