Hooper blasts 'unfair' spending policy
An MHK has voiced concerns over public housing tenants' money being spent on other government services.
Lawrie Hooper pressed the Infrastructure Minister on the matter in the House of Keys yesterday (Tue).
While Ray Harmer did assure Mr Hooper rents were 'consistent and equitable' Island-wide, he admitted that the £5.4 million the DoI takes in rental income each year is re-absorbed back into the Department's overall budget.
Any surpluses could therefore feasibly go towards different projects.
