MHK criticises language used by chief minister during reshuffle

Tim Glover says Alf Cannan has 'a lot of questions to answer'

Yesterday, Alfred Cannan conducted a reshuffle of his council of ministers, which saw Dr Alex Allinson and Dr Michelle Haywood removed from treasury and infrastructure respectively.

Tim Glover criticised the language used to describe the changes as “concerning”, arguing that the ministers did not step down but were, in fact, dismissed.

The Arbory, Castletown and Malew MHK also questioned how much the newly appointed ministers, Chris Thomas and Tim Crookall, would be able to achieve before the end of the current administration.

Mr Glover was asked whether he would consider bringing forward another vote of no confidence in the Chief Minister.
