Stu Peters talks about his 'early days' within DOI
A Middle MHK agrees politics should be kept out of priorities surrounding improvements to the Island's roads.
In Stu Peters' manifesto, he promised not to seek a departmental position for the first year to allow him time to get to grips with the political system.
Now a year has gone, Mr Peters has joined the Department of Infrastructure and has responsibility for roads.
He says although the department has its own priorities over which roads should be improved - he has serious questions:
